Art models small

The Family of Schools team exists to support primary education across England. We have been providing practical assistance to teachers and children in primary schools for over three years now and affiliation has been growing steadily.

We believe the most effective methods of raising standards involve schools working together to share best practice and provide mutual support and challenge. Our guiding principle – ‘by schools, for schools’ – ensures our agenda is driven by the needs of our network of primaries. To find out more about our network, visit the Family of Schools page.

Affiliated schools have access to a wide range of support; including professional development, publications and networking opportunities. Please follow the links to the right to find out more about support offered in each of these areas.

The SSAT has developed two new toolkits for primary school teachers - 'Software on a shoestring' and 'Working with Windows Paint'. They are bursting with ideas and examples on how software and design can be used in classrooms and include classroom projects and activities, website links and sample planning units of work to encourage independent working.
