Leadership

teacher and students

Supporting and developing leaders has become a significant area of Trust activity.

A wide range of leadership contexts is catered for, whether the early leadership promise in NQTs and Developing Leaders or the needs of existing heads and middle leaders. Programmes cover both broad based strategies for school transformation and more focused specialism based events.

Delivery models include conferences, accredited courses, school visits both in England and abroad, partnering activities and lessons from the world beyond education.

A particular dimension of this work is focused on the needs of London. The Trust is working in partnership with the London Centre of Leadership in Learning on the London Leadership Strategy, part of the London Challenge. The aim is to raise standards in the capital’s schools through the building of leadership capacity.

The Trust is keen to ensure that the continuing demand for leaders able to combine vision with practical effectiveness is met by a new generation of enthusiastic and committed professionals.
