Developing eConfidence in schools by sharing ICT expertise and good practice

The ICT Register - www.ict-register.net - is a solution for schools seeking support with ICT. School leaders, teachers and technical staff, or anyone else working in education, are welcome to access the ICT expertise and advice currently being offered by cutting edge secondary, special and primary schools across the country, also City Learning Centres and Early Years Settings.
The Register website has been designed so that schools can search easily for ICT guidance and services, which are listed under several areas, including:
- Strategic
- Teaching and learning
- Technical
- Sustainability
- International links
- Special Educational Needs
Services range from telephone and email advice to visits, courses, audits and extended guidance. For school visits or training it is easy to find which schools are close to you, and to arrange a bespoke service.
If your needs are urgent and you require an immediate steer on an aspect of ICT, then why not try the 'Ask the Schools' feature - our first steps towards providing a community of practice underpinned by emerging web 2.0 technologies. High quality responses are guaranteed within 24 hours of posting a question!
The website now has dedicated sections offering support with Becta's Self-review Framework [SRF] and gaining the ICT Mark accreditation, also design and planning for ICT in new buildings. There is also a growing library of case studies and scenarios resulting from software test-bedding trials, the Futures Visions tours of 2005 and 2006, and material contributed by the CLCs to promote their work across the key stages.
