The Leading Edge Partnership programme is launching its Leading Edge alert

This is the desktop update service which we informed you about in March, to make sure you know all the latest news as it happens and are fully involved with the LEP programme.

You will receive your first alert after you have downloaded this application, which will take a matter of moments.

The download is quick and simple and does not require any personal information from you; just follow the set up instructions and then enter your school's DfES number. If you have received an ID number from us in advance, then use this. Once installed, your Leading Edge alert icon will appear. If you have installed a previous version, please reinstall this new one. When you start to receive messages, they will bring you the latest Leading Edge information relating to conferences, case studies, information and updates on all the elements of your programme..and more. The updates may include a link to give you quick access to a document, media file or a relevant webpage.

Don't worry about being disturbed because Leading Edge Updates will only bring you messages when there is something really interesting or important to tell you.

Once the application is downloaded, there are support options and an FAQ page if you right click on the application icon, under the ‘help’ section. If you have any technical problems that cannot be answered here please contact support@skinkers.com. For any other queries regards content relating to the LEP programme, please contact leadingedge@ssatrust.org.uk

What is the Leading Edge Partnership Programme?

'Developing the capacity to pursue new and interesting ideas with fellow educational practitioners to have a real impact on the lives and life chances of young people'
Mr Stephen Mundy, Principal, Comberton Village College

Leading Edge Partnerships provide capacity for practitioners to work together in order to tackle some of the more intractable challenges facing the education system in the drive to raise standards. The programme offers funding distributed via a lead school for use across their partnership to work on locally determined learning challenges. Partnerships are committed to working collaboratively to inspire, design, test and adapt professional practice to raise standards of teaching and learning where improvement is most urgently needed. There is a particular focus on partnering with schools struggling to raise standards and partnering in order to raise pupil achievement by addressing issues of under-achievement among pupils from poorer socio-economic backgrounds and from particular minority ethnic groups.
