What is Consultant School Accreditation?

The SSAT Consultant School Accreditation process has been developed by headteachers to peer validate the work of schools who support other schools. It uses a ‘by schools for schools' model to enable a larger group of specialist schools to be formally acknowledged and to develop their contribution to system leadership and system improvement.
What does the accreditation do?
• It validates and supports the development of schools who are supporting and contributing to the development of others and wider system leadership using a self-review and peer accreditation model
• It affirms and quality assures the ‘by schools for schools' approach to school development
• It provides formal accreditation at three levels: accredited, established and advanced
• It creates the potential for further work within the SSAT’s networks, national projects and events
