Annual update

Ever felt a touch anxious about your school’s progress a couple of years into your specialist school phase?

In addition to the various events and networking experiences offered by the SSAT, schools are increasingly valuing the chance to focus specifically on the requirements of the specialist school plan and how successfully they are achieving their targets.

This is the purpose of the Trust’s Annual update programme. An annual event, organised regionally, brings together schools of the same cohort in their particular phase. The intention is to assist the raising of achievement and consequent successful redesignation.

The programme sets out to:
• Provide updates on the specialist schools programme, sharing emerging practice relating to government agendas
• Reinforce the partnership between the SSAT and its specialist schools to foster effective networking throughout their designation
• Provide the opportunity for schools to share good practice and celebrate success – as well as to focus on areas proving more of a challenge
• Assist a review of progress against the initial specialist school plan
• Identify processes for continuing to raise whole school standards
