Specialist schools programme

As well as providing for each individual specialism in a number of ways, the SSAT plays a vital support role across all specialisms to maintain the overall momentum of success. Undesignated schools are encouraged to consider specialist status. The Trust then helps aspiring schools through the application process, its support including guidance and help to achieve the necessary sponsorship. Once designated, schools are able to benefit from an annual cycle of day conferences designed to help them stay on target and in due course to apply successfully for redesignation.
